Face （name）シリーズについて
2021年、独立戦争と第一次世界大戦の傷病兵の写真をもとにポートレイト作品を作り始めた。はじめ、私にとってそれは連続した制作の一つの流れだったが、予想を超えて現実の世界の流れが大河となり合流し、考えもしなかった大きな傷みを味わうことになった。
私の中の、絵画-女性-受動的なものという強いつながりは、このシリーズで変容しはじめた。今まで多く描かれていたのは少女のイメージだったが、このシリーズでは描かれたイメージはおもに顔面に傷を受けた兵士たちの写真をもとに作られており、どれも女性にも男性にも無性にも見える。
私はこの作品に一つ一つ名前をつけている。

About the Face (name) series
In 2021, I began making portrait works based on photographs of wounded soldiers from the Revolutionary War and the First World War. At first, it was a continuous stream of production for me, but beyond my expectations, the currents of the real world merged into a great river, and I experienced a great hurt that I had not thought of.
My strong connection between painting - women - passive began to transform with this series. Whereas in the past I had often depicted images of girls, in this series the images are mainly based on photographs of soldiers with facial injuries, and all appear to be female, male or asexual.
I have given each of these works a name.
